run a mem test.

i say that a lot to people over random crash type errors. but when problems come while watching videos or playing games, bad ram is commonly an issue. (if you know its hardware related)
Did the windows RAM check, nothing came up. If I have the problem again, I guess I'll try another check with something else.

Edit: just restarted again, gonna run another memcheck

I am aware of what magnets do to computers.

Basically everything has the potential to forget up your computer, just some more than others.

On my desk I have: (not counting the obvious such as headphones) 3 knifes, a machete, 2 iPods, iPod charger, old student ID, flashdrive, electrical tape, pencils, pen, empty bottles/cans, house key, random change, various plastic parts, a CD, my shaving razor,a lighter ,and a load of coke can tabs.

Sometimes I have a full water bottle on the desk if my 'table' is full and can't hold it. If you're careful than you'll be fine regardless whats on your desk.
Unless its like, a ticking time bomb or something. In that case you're forgeted regardless.

You're right, anything can have the potential to forget your stuff up, but whats the likelihood of a machete rolling off your desk?  Hardly any.  Machetes aren't round, they don't roll.  Magnets on the other hand, if they are round, can very easily roll off your desk and forget up your day, and your computer.  Pie Crust is totally responsible for any damage he caused because he shouldn't have left the magnets on his desk in the first place.

Also why not just move the less destructive stuff to the other side so your drinks/magnets will be on the opposite side of the desk relative to your computer.

Well, I can't seem to get another memory test onto a USB stick properly, so I'm not going to do that. I'm still having restarting uses, but only when exporting this video in movie maker. :/ It gets to 99% then my computer just restarts.

Bought a Samsung 840 250gb SSD for my Macbook, they any good???

very.

I never said I wasn't.

Had the problem again, ran another windows memory test and gt nothing. I can export small videos, it just restarts when exporting somewhat large videos. \

EDIT: So I timed my startup after a restart, and it's taking roughly 1 minute longer than usual (23 seconds) to start up. It took 1 minute and 24 seconds. During POST  (I think that's what it's called) it seems to hang for a bit on "initiating USB controllers" or something similar.

Bump. Just ran MemTest, no RAM errors. What else could be causing this?

mobo?

mobo?
thats what I was thinking, but I really hope that's not it, I can't afford a new one nor can I wait weeks for an RMA cause I need computer for school.

Bump again, this morning my computer started up faster, at around 1 minute. Haven't tried editing the video to see if it crashes again.

I should have known that was a temporary fix. I turned on my PC, I took a shower, I walked the dogs and it was still in "Starting Windows". It restarted a few mins later. I logged the boot and used MSDOS to get the log. The log is illegible with EDIT.COM, Notepad or Wordpad so I'm putting it here if anyone can lend a hand.

EDIT: "Unnatural/irregular depth found in Drive C:" What the forget is this supposed to mean?!

Attached are the reports from the 2 System Repairs I did.

I've got this 2005 VGA (Blue) and 2013 VGA (Grey). Why does the grey one have the cylinder near both connectors and the blue one doesn't?

I'm pretty sure that's supposed to keep the wire straight at the end. Not too sure myself, to be honest.
