Omg Lenovo just shipped me another new laptop as an apology for my other ones breaking, AND I get to keep the refund on it. So that's $2100  + a free laptop.

1366x768 is my current one, however I think when I was on this thread before I had mentioned I was contemplating getting a higher res monitor in the future. I've seen some 3GB, would that be a better deal price wise, or am I just half-assing 4GB?

When i say higher res. i mean 4k orr 3 2k monitors. I cant remember what its called but higher memory loads frames smoother, but something like 4gb and up is only useful for higher resolutions. If you are sticking to 1920x1080, 2-3gb is just fine.

Hopefully third time's the charm and the computer lasts longer than a month. That would be awesome. Maybe I should build myself a powerhouse desktop for back home. Someone wanna suggest a $2000-2500 build for me? lol

dang

Can I have it

So, a tower I built sounds like it blew a capacitor. It was too hot to check exactly which component blew it, but does anyone know how done-for the other components might be if it was or was not the PSU?

My GPU and core temps idle at around 51-54C.

Should I buy a better CPU cooler?

what wireless charging pads are there that are "good"
there are so many cheap ones of brands i dont know. dunno if it matters.

will be for a verizon ellipsis 7 tablet, and my g3 phone

whats your current one
The stock one that came with the i5-3570k. I've been looking at the Hyper 212 EVO.

yeah you should get the hyper 212 evo.

Ordered parts for my first build with the help of Logical Increments to replace my dead laptop, really hoping I don't forget anything up

I've got a GPU, CPU, HSF, mobo, RAM, HDD, power supply, and case all from the Excellent tier on LI so they should be compatible, as well as a disk drive, mouse, old monitor that I'll be replacing at some point, and I'll be picking up a keyboard if the old one I have doesn't connect, anything else I need? I'm still deciding on an operating system but I've got vista that I can use temporarily if it comes down to it

My only regret so far is that I could've done more research before ordering but everyone seems to have a lot of faith in these LI folks and it's fairly difficult for me to do things on the internet right now so I guess it'll be alright

For any sort of future building, PCpartpicker always makes sure items are compatible, incase you are worried about incompatibilities. Also, using a website that makes up a predetermined set of computer parts based on price isnt always the best. Honestly, I personally found it much better if you take your time and learn what each part does. Watch some videos. a couple months ago i didnt even post in this topic because i had no clue what i was saying. Now, i feel confident enough that i try to help out people with computer related stuff, like parts lists or the like. Also, if you do the research, there is a higher chance you will save more money.

who are you referring to as "everyone", just for reference

LI isn't terrible, but it really isn't great
