Try projectors. Sure they don't last as long but my recent searches determine that they're cheaper for their resolution and you can play laying in bed projecting the game on the roof.

I'm not looking at any right now. I was looking for one when my CRT exploded. I got a new LCD from my dad's office.

I ask what one you are looking at because projectors cost a stuffload of money. Not to mention basically every projector I've seen has stuff quality.

I don't know if my GPU is dying or if my cable is bad, but I keep seeing red lines flash across my monitor randomly, I try it on other monitors and it does the exact same thing, just ever once and while.
I think its the cable, but I don't know

this also happens, only on firefox though

I need a basic gaming computer under $450. $450 is strictly the max limit.

Any lists?

Not really. If you cut the "gaming" out of what you want though it might be possible.

The lines sound like a cable connection problem and the black boxes on firefox look like a memory issue. The fact that both are happening though suggests that the former is actually also a problem with the card itself. Maybe try reseating it?

one happens on one monitor, the firefox issue happens on all

this started to happen after a reinstall so it might be drivers

except pc maybe

laptops r the way of gaming

So, what do you think would be a good idea:

A.) Wait for Windows 10 to release, and then build my new PC. Hardware could change, so I might make adjustments to my part list if this happens.

B.) Get Windows 7/8 and build it NOW, but upgrade to Windows 10 when it releases.

I've pretty much got the parts locked down, might make some adjustments. Now it's a matter of "Do I really want to do this now, or wait?"
