I have posted this in the past, but no one responded minus one person who linked to a recently sold out part, so I am re-posting in hopes. I'm mainly looking at a video card that isn't just a part of an APU processor. Can anyone help me out here? My budget's not very high, with a <$100 limit.

Specs from "my computer" properties tab:

Processor:  AMD A10-5800K APU with Radeon(tm) HD Graphics     (3.80 GHz)
RAM:         8.00 GB (7.19 GB usable)

Basically, I believe I need a video card to go beside my APU, but I don't know how I should go about picking one. I'm not up to date on all the newer cards.

Case size and power supply both aren't concerns, they both have already been upgraded before and I know they won't be a problem.

Because you have two sticks of RAM, each clocked at 800MHz. 800+800=1600.

No, your RAM runs just fine. '1600MHz' DDR3 memory actually runs at 800MHz, but because DDR memory allows for two data transfers per clock, the 'effective' speed is 1600MHz. It would be more accurate if memory speeds were listed in Megatransfers/second, or MT/s, but that would probably confuse people even more.

Personally, I'd love to have one, cause I use my computer's browser probably 50-60% of the time I'm on my computer. The rest is taken up with using Word for school and gaming. I have my desktop for gaming, and Google Docs could replace word, so... If I ever chose to get a laptop, I might get a Chromebook.

Depending on the Chromebook, I thought storage was pretty minimal and you were supposed to rely on Drive for mass storage.

i was told to go here
i want to bring new life to my virus-bloated windows 7 laptop by installing a linux distro on the whole hdd........ it barely breathes anymore so yeah. ples suggest me a nice and up-to-date linux distro i can install on it that wont be crashing apps and wont be too hard to install & use
