well if you get a gtx 750 ti then you wouldn't even need to upgrade the psu. but i would get this psu and atleast a 960 or even a 280x (might want to check the wattage) and the total cost for everything would be $450 and if you give me any stuff about how amd is the antichrist i will murder 7 children

if you can actually get that computer for $200 then it wouldn't be a bad deal

Awesome. Will do once I get the car and stuff, then I'll upgrade. For now I just ordered it. 252$ for the PC, 130$ for the GPU, 14$ for the keyboard. Like 430$ in total with shipping. Stoked.

Planning on making some money over the summer, wondering if this is a decent build.

This is just Newegg (thought it would make it easier). This OK at all?

if you're trying to make a gaming computer you're putting all your money in the wrong places, also why the forget do you need a $180 sound card

Kill the sound card and buy an SSD instead.

Why would you get windows 7. 8.1 is better.

Why would you get windows 7. 8.1 is better.
because it's probably cheaper and either way he'll be able to upgrade to windows 10 for free before long

Some suggestions (assuming you're wanting a gaming computer):
No sound card (Or a much cheaper one, if for some reason you absolutely need one)
Cheaper processor
Better video card
Cheaper cooler (unless you really need a liquid cooler for some reason)
8GB of ram instead of 16GB
Get a 200 or so GB SSD to install the OS and other things you want to boot up fast on and use a 1TB HDD to store everything else on, I doubt you'll need more than that unless you're really heavy into photography and video shooting

it isn't really cheaper though. And if he buys this fairly soon, he's still going to have to wait a bit before 10.

every dollar counts if you're on a budget
but then again he's got an almost $200 sound card on that list so idk what kind of godforsaken budget that would be

why the forget are you spending $1000+ just to end up with a 750?!

take the money you spent off the soundcard and put it into a better GPU. You could get a 960 or something for that price.
