Even in Show Low area Arizona is hell for my computer, especially since a few houses dont have AC up here.

If there was no A/C here in central AZ, it'd be impossible to live

Right so since goofiness has mostly calmed down, as I was trying to say before:
I'm ordering the parts for my new PC tomorrow, here's the list. Great improvement over my old (stolen) PC. GPU's not extreme or anything 'cuz I usually use more CPU than GPU, but the GPU should be able to handle whatever games I want to play. OS I'll be using is Debian 8 with Windows 7 in VMware.

Can't wait, my poor laptop's had to suffer from me wanting to play games and my laptop is not a gaming machine at all.

And then keep digging, cause the core can't be hotter than Phoenix in the summer, right?

Just keep digging until you end up on the other side of the earth, you'll be in the middle of the Indian ocean. Bring a bathing suit.

nvm it'll be in comic thread

The ocean could be nice. You should repost what you were talking about before the stuffshow.

Oh ok.

I'm pretty sure the x31 Kraken is going to come with thermal paste pre-applied, my x61 did. However in case that it doesn't or if you want to reapply it, I guess $7 tube isn't going to make much of a difference in your overall budget. :P

Otherwise, looks good to me, I don't know the price difference, but Skylake cpus are here/almost here. Might be worth looking into.

I usually always re-apply thermal paste. Also I'd look into Skylake stuff but I just really want a PC again that isn't a laptop. I mean my laptop's good for what it is but it was never intended for full-time usage, just for school really.

Win10 get!

Much faster than Win7. I installed it on both PCs. PC A is burning hot, like stated it would so going back, lol. On PC B, it's fukken fabulicious!

little off topic but do any of you guys have/working towards A+ certification? I just went to my first prep class for the test, and the stuff that we learn in the class seems really cool

I'd like to, but I've been hearing that employers in my area tend to like other certs better.

Personally on my own thoughts, and as well to a few Network Administrators in the area I have talked to, the A+ certification isn't even worth it.  It's a 50/50 toss up if the employer is going to say "Awesome more money since you have that" or "You have a piece of paper, what do we care".  Personally I think in today's job market it's more on personality and networking from within than it is from pure qualifications.
