An entire life time of poor performance and excess power draw. :(
:C

I ordered an Intel i5 3330 a few days ago. Should be arriving this friday.

I have no idea if this is the right place to talk about this but...

I just started my Junior year and I'm in a class that's just straight up building PC's. We all get our own PCs to use in the class, but we have to build them ourselves. I am extremely excited for it and I can't wait to start.
luuucky...

This is the perfect place to talk about it!
Do they give you a budget or give you the parts already?
Not sure. If they're giving us the parts, I'm bringing in an old GTS 450 that I might be able to salvage if it still works.

thankfully the keyboard dried out this morning and worked properly so i came home today and cleaned the keycaps along with the switches that were sticky due to the soda
i also cleaned the base and since theres only one opening to where you can see the circuitry underneath, thats what probably saved the keyboard
yay, my 100$ didnt go down the pisser

Well, my brother's room IS vacant...

On my way, give me a day or  two to pack up and drive.

idk man, i take up his offer. Steve is chill, just without the annoying stoner traits.

Just moved my Mac Pro to my living room to be with the TV as a media center type thing that can actually play GTA V at 40-60 FPS while topping out at 100% load across 4 cores on two Xeon 5150's and some help from it's 7950 3gb.  I as well hooked up two Ethernet cables finally to achieve 2 Gigabits of bandwidth.

Otherwise, I have 16gbs of DDR2 ECC 667mhz on order for it and maybe in a week or two I will order two shiny Xeon X5365 SLAED's for 8 total physical cores and 16MB of L2 cache.

I really need to clean my stuff up some more

still cleaner than my desk

man i wish my classmates were trustworthy enough to do that. some freshmen have to be in our east/technology class and in just one day, they've stolen a 1/4-to-3.5mm converter that we used to let EAST students play our synthesizer, shredded and jammed cassette tapes, broke an apple mouse, stole three camera batteries, and stole a camera charger

also we have a broken RAID controller which i have a feeling is due to freshmen loving around by the server, as well as a permanently destroyed CD drive because a jock ripped the tray out of it. but the CD drive was last year, after seniors and freshmen cut and tore apart our computer mice, stole all of our scissors, and took all the caps off of a keyboard, along with countless other things.
