See the part of his question I included in my response:

What's the best board I can get for my PC case that's under $150?

Interesting list
Not sure what I want to go with.

Just pick any one that fits your budget and has some ratings, generally it shouldn't matter how much you spend on one since it seems this particular kind of motherboard is pretty cheap in general

Should I worry if it took about an hour (no joke) to open the task manager since I hit Ctrl + Shift + Esc?

My CPU cooler's pump sounds louder than it used to, what should I do? I haven't changed anything.

well
my main rig died today
the motherboard fried itself and took my SSD with it
i merged the remaining parts with my mini itx computer and the intel processor in it has actually increased the total performance

shame i'm out one computer now though :/

Sounds more likey the PSU's fault than the motherboard. A defective motherboard isn't likely to kill an SSD. Remember that the only connection to it is the SATA.

Hello fingerprints/skin oils.

Hello fingerprints/skin oils.
Matte doesn't usually attract fingerprints. Just gloss.

motherboard is a loooong bit old, and the PSU checked out okay
im using it in the mini itx right now

im not really sure what the issue with the SSD is, nothing can read from it now after this.  The motherboard would just lock up, even the restart buttons wouldn't work
