Heres the list of DNS servers im using http://pcsupport.about.com/od/tipstricks/a/free-public-dns-servers.htm
FreeDNS is what I personally use, and encourage most people to use.
I also managed to be able to finally connect to some sites, and can finally access my schoolwork over the internet, but I cant seem to connect to youtube at all. Im able to ping the domain and get perfect responses but every time I try to connect via browser, i get a error saying the connection timed out.
So you're able to resolve hostnames, but unable to connect to the websites themselves through your browser. This proves your IP configuration and TCP stacks are proper and working correctly.
Check to see if your computer has any global proxy settings that might have accidentally been turned on. Additionally, try installing an entirely new browser and check if that works. Sometimes the solution could simply be just changing your IP configuration back to automatic (DHCP.) If you use a second or third-party tool to configure your NIC, try uninstalling it.
What IS that??
