at what settings, that is pretty intense, also what fps is ok with you

Apparently his budget changed to 600 dollars after he asked us for a 1000 dollar rig

Sorry for the late response, I don't post at the end of the day.

I prefer 30 - 60 fps, as it doesn't really bother me. Just as long as there are no random fps drops.

I have also changed my budget to around $600, as it's a tight budget
I also do not mind all medium settings on any modern game. I just want a rig that can run gta V with good settings.
Ive aleady got my OS (Windows 7)

Guys, these PCs at school seem to have "volatile memory". As in, every file modified, added, or deleted while it was running will revert back to the way it was when rebooted. Say, I download a file, save it in D:\file, when rebooting, D:\file doesn't exist. How can I disable that?

It's Windows 7 Enterprise.

thats called deep freeze i think

Thanks. I'll disable it and see what happens.

since it's school tech i think they have a recovery state that they load on every boot up

edit: what i described basically is deep freeze

I'll do the same thing I did to modify the user system to make me an admin. Boot from USB and access the main HDD.

Should be good enough to run GTA V on high. If you live near a Microcenter you can get the CPU for $20 less.

I have a USB wifi adapter that I use with my desktop
it's plugged into the back of the computer, where the majority of the USB ports are
that's also where the only USB 3.0 ports are (but it isn't plugged into one of those)

the problem is that plugging a flash drive into one of the 3.0 ports seems to make the wifi adapter stop working until I unplug the flash drive.............
I don't know why. plugging the flash drive into one of the front ports works fine, but then it's just as slow as USB 2.0

Why?
Because it pisses me off to lose important files whenever the PC reboots. And the admin thing to feed my need of being superior in class.

Building my first pc soon and wondering if this is sufficient for a 800$ budget and playing games such as battlefront on high settings with 60 FPS. Thoughts or suggestions?
