Author Topic: Are Turtle beaches worth buying?  (Read 2539 times)

I have one, dropped it a couple times and it still works fine.
earforce x11 with dss

IMO turtle beaches are overrated. Sennheiser is a good brand. Plantronics is also another good brand imo.

I have a $20 webcam that gives the same mic quality as the x11. That says something.

I got my x11 off of woot.com for $15 though

No don't get them, if you can get some Tritons.
They have good quality.

I really enjoy the X12.

Used to have sharkoon headset for Xbox but then I got the x12s. I have no problems with them.

If you can get them for $40 - 50 I would. The only thing is that the mic is sensitive

I have XL1's. Good everything, dropped them from the top of my tv to my floor and nothing happened.

never had them, cant really say anything about them. ive heard stuff about them from my friends, though

my Z6A lasted about 2 weeks before I literally leaned backwards and one side of the headset completely stopped working.

leaned backwards. $100 headset turned into $100 piece of plastic that I didn't care enough to get replaced.

a lie because they have a free lifetime factory warranty.
you never owned one

Sennheiser life, yo.

Turtle Beaches and the like are not worth considering for their sound/make quality to price ratio. If they're like $15, go for it, though.

He never said anything about money being the problem

FIRST you need to stop asking the Blockland forums about headphones. If you want your money well spent then go to a forum that revolves around headphones. I would recommend Head-fi.org

They helped me pick out a pair of headphones.

-snip-
I'll check it out.

Also uh you might wanna edit your post incase that counts as advertising other forums.

i use wesent WST-860 and they have been working fine so far, except one instance of me being stupid

idk despite what everyone thinks, my personal opinion for the x12s are very good. I take care of my stuff so it doesn't break and plus i use my headset for more than just gaming. If you want headphones for just gaming then i guess go with what everyone else is telling you. If you want a headset with a mic that you can use for your PC also as well as listening to music(i plug it into my ipod when i play for extra bass to my dubstepz) while you play, then i recommend it.

oh ok he just dosnt care about 100 bucks. yeah thats believable.
with no effort you can get a brand new 100 dollar headset. even if he hated it its worth the 5 minutes.
but no, he just dosnt mind wasting 100 bucks.

how naive are you to believe such a story?
