Author Topic: Tekkit Lite  (Read 17137 times)

I log onto the Technic Launcher today only to find a new option on the list - Tekkit Lite. My first impression after looking at the name is that it's a more casual version of Tekkit for casual Minecraft players. Turned out, my prediction was completely wrong - it's like a new version of Tekkit. (I later realized that it's geared for smaller servers)

First, I noticed that the new version was using Minecraft 1.4.6 rather than 1.2.5. Furthermore, I noticed that rather than having about forty mods loaded, this version had about sixty mods loaded. Once I saw this, I realized that there's a lot of new features to explore.

While I could go on for a while about my adventures, I'll just cover the highlights separating Tekkit Classic (That's what it's called now) from Tekkit Lite. First off, I noticed that there have been reskins of some of the ores (including copper and tin). Also, after looking through NEI (which has also been updated), I noticed that there are hundreds of new items.

Of course, I'm barely scratching the surface, but if you want to go check it out and you have a Minecraft account, you can download the launcher here: http://www.technicpack.net/.

doesn't lag for a 1.4.6 version :o

One question:
Bukkit?

yes dren!

We need to get somebody to host this.

hopefully if my hosting company decides not to choke on a richard

YES!
This has MystCraft!

Now we all don't have to build in the same world we can make our own :D

Bukkit was removed.
Bukkit is part of Tekkit.
That is why it is called Tekkit.

I would, it's still Minecraft. I also disagree with the DayZ thread.
