that doesn't even make sense
how does that justify being on ps3 only at all
again, that seems like it'd be correct to describe being multiplatform, not ps3 exclusive
If you read all this earlier, I told him that originally, it was planned out for Xbox as well but Microsoft declined the offer so it only stuck with ps3. They were supposed to combine both consoles onto the same servers.

That's still not a reason to exclude the pc

Maybe they're just stupid, can we leave it at that?

i really can't think of any other reason
more specifically they were probably too damn lazy to figure out cross-platform multiplayer and porting

I'm having too much fun with this guys backwards logic to stop now lol

They're appealing to audiences. PC audience tends to be more mature, hence EVE Online(Simulation, Sci-Fi, Strategy). Console audiences tend to have shorter attention spans, etc. hence Dust 514(FPS) It's easier to code 1 game on PC, and 1 game on PS3 than it is to code 2 games on PC and 1 game on PS3. They also have to pay employees to do the coding.

Believe it or not, there's a larger market on the PS3 for shooters than there is PC. I'm not in any way saying that FPS games are better on the PS3 than they are the PC, but that's where the market is.

Sony, Microsoft, and Nintendo never seem very keen on cross platforming the game servers.
I believe the only thing to ever do this is Portal 2.

I could understand developing on both PS3 and PC and having it on separate servers being a good idea, but never tying the two servers together. Besides, we don't want all the PS3 players getting dominated and feeling bad because they simply refuse to believe that using a mouse to aim is much more precise.

To be fair, a lot of console gamers buy games on consoles because they either don't have a computer/money for a computer to run the game or most of their friends are console gamers, so they feel it's more convenient to be playing on the same platform as them.

But yes, you're also right in the aspect that there are many stubborn biased console gamers who think PC gaming is stuff when they haven't had any decent experience other than playing some stuffty browser game on their parent's crappy laptop.

It's a mix of all kinds of people for why FPS gaming is more popular on consoles.

But regardless of how you look at the reasoning, the numbers are still there and that's what matters in terms of marketing.

if you mixed console and pc on the same servers all the console players would get dominated lol. one of many reasons im sure they had

I use mouse and keyboard anyways.

We both told them about this in the beginning but they are still keen on pretending they could make the game better than the developers. :/

I'm on neither side.

There should be a PC and a PS3 version. However, they should not be connected.

The thing is though you can't make it two separate servers connected to Eve because it wouldn't work. If you did, it would have two different outcomes when there can only be one. If you win a battle on a planet it automatically affects Eve itself. If a PC battle won and a PS3 battle lost on the same planet how would that work out on Eve? You can't change the core piece of the whole game. You might was well take all guns out of the Cod Series or the Halo rings out of all the Halo games. Maybe even the Warcraft out of WoW. What's the point of the game then if you change the main purpose of it?

Perhaps the same battle can't happen on both platforms.

I'm not sure why you're predicting a ridiculously easily solved problem to something that doesn't even exist yet.
