Author Topic: A lot of games crash on my computer ; ;  (Read 1283 times)

I recently got a new computer ( custom built, see parts below) and it works fine for most things but theres a slight problem

I've been trying to play Steam games such as Max Payne 3, Anna, L.A Noire and Penumbra, but they all freeze or end up crashing.

Those are all the important parts of my computer, if you need anything else to help just ask ;-;
I was really excited to play these games and now they keep crashing

Since it's a new pc do you have good enough cooling? I would keep an eye on it for a bit with this http://www.cpuid.com/softwares/hwmonitor.html and play a game that causes a crash and check the temperatures, And post them here. (Make sure it's running while you're playing)

Also what psu did you get with it?

Just put an ice pack on it, it'll be fine.

Your fault for buying an AMD video card.

Yeah it should be good enough ;-;

No, its not, because I didnt buy it

Don't you think this might be God's way of telling you to do girl stuff? Like find a nice boy from school and clean his room?

Have you updated your drivers recently?

Also:
I managed to play Alan Wake's American Nightmare nicely, and the graphics should equal that of any of the other games I have, so I dont really understand why these particular games arent working. I don't think the issue is that my computer is too stuffty to run it.
Have you update your drivers recently?
WHaT DOES THAT MEAn

drivers are pieces of software that make sure your hardware functions correctly

if you just built your pc you will probably need to update the drivers for it

So...you managed to build your own custom computer...and you don't know what drivers are...something is wrong here.

How can I do that.

go find the drivers for each one of your components
theyre usually on the manufacturers webpage avalaible for downloads

Go to control panel, click on device manager, click on display drivers, right click on AMD Radeon™ HD 7870, click on update driver software, click on "Search automatically for updated driver software" and let it do its stuff

or you can do that too because everything is idiot proofed nowadays

If you want you could clean my room. I'm not a boy but it needs cleaning and you must have free time now that your computer isn't working.
