Once you figure out the controls, you can do some of the most insane fight moves. My personal favourite is the "rip-off-your-own-arm-and-use-it-as-a-bat-to-smack-the-enemy" trick :D

MVC3 is not a good place to start because you either learn everything advanced immediately or you're forgeted

Street fighter 4 is probably the best place to start as it's not too fast or complex.

The basic stuff street fighter teaches you, space control, anti airing, and mindgames will transfer over to other games.

If you were to start with something like marvel or tekken you might be overwhelmed.
