Author Topic: Drug items, for a city roleplay.  (Read 3027 times)

Basically drugs, for a city roleplay server I was planning on doing.

I'd like a pill item, a steroid shot item, and a bag of illegal substance item.

The pill sacrifices 15 health when used, but makes you faster temporarily.

The shot makes you deal more damage, but your health slowly drains for ten seconds, every second being -1 health.

The bag item heals you completely, but makes you slower temporarily until what it healed you for "bleeds out" until you're back to the same health.

Also, if possible, if one drug item is taken, it cancels the effects of the others.

so it just kills you

how about it removes 75 health or something overall

lol okay

i was worried there for a sec

the rest of it is all cool

No, none of it is cool.

Drugs aren't cool, kids.

Now, alcohol on the other hand...

Anyways, when you take damage with the bag item, what happens? Do you ever go back to your original health, even if your health during the effect of the bag is 1?

Why drugs.

Just why.

Seriously, we don't need another mod that promotes substance abuse.

It's not promote anything, I want to make a city based around roleplay, and I want to add options for crime to give police officers something to do besides shooting people and riding around on segways.

seriously where is your logic

"oh no i saw some drugs in a game of legos in a city rp better go do those drugs!"
seriously I don't think that's how video games work

Slightly more realistic version:

LSD - Messes with FOV and applies color effects (not seizure effects, but it smoothly shades into each color, making it trippy). No use besides recreation

Steroids - Increases damage done by 25%, and improves athletics (jumping, running), but your character is harder to control (may walk for 3 second after letting go of button, for example)

Morphine - Reduces damage recieved by 25%

Cannabis - Health slowly increases. Can not be overdosed, but your character moves slower.

Caffeine - Character moves faster for a while

Alcohol - Damage taken reduced by 10%, but harder to overdose than morphine

Tobbacco wouldn't really have a use unless you can think of one.

Overuse of any drug besides cannabis will cause death; cannabis is balanced by making your character go slow. Some drugs are harder to overdose than others.

This game already has murder and torture packed default with the game. Yes drugs are bad, but it's better that they do it in video games than real life. Plus not all use of drugs is abuse.

Smoking cigars / cigarettes is supposed to calm your nerves, so I guess deal 5% more damage, 5% walk speed boost and idontknow.

"Supposed" to.
And we've already got athletics and damage boosters, I think cigarettes would be best simply to show a prop on your character.

This is the kind of judgement that really gets on my nerves

"hey look someone's doing drugs in a video game and it'll make me faster and stronger let's go do drugs and have unprotected love and jump off buildings and blah blah blah..."

stop srsly

or
