proof?
They purchased Westwood Studios which created the Command and Conquer series, the studio was assimilated into EA los angeles. Some of the staff origional staff was hired. The rest moved on to Petroglyph studios. They went onto release Command and Conquer 3 which was good, then Command and Conquer 4 which disappointed fans.

Then there is Pandemic. Similiar fate.

Remember Maxis? How about spore? The origional gameplay footage had much more promising stuff than what EA released.

Are you kidding me? That's Balrog. You must clearly never have played Cave Story. How is that even possible?
You must clearly never have read Lord of the Rings. How is that even possible?

This is a Balrog

Killing off good game developers one by one, contributing to the downfall of Free Radical (I think)

Quote from: EA in a Nutshell
-This is for buying out some of the best game companies and turning them to mediocrity.
-This is for having some of the worst customer service in the gaming industry.
-This is for deliberately holding back game content for the sole purpose of making customers pay more for it later as DLC.
-This is for strictly enforcing copyrights on content that you did not even create.
-This is for taking the Need for Speed franchise and completely ruining it.
-This is for supporting the S.O.P.A.
-This is for overworking some of your employees with no benefeits, demolishing any creative talent they have.
-This is for making terms of use that allow you to backstab your customers any time you see fit.
-This is for releasing the same things every year, an increasingly large number being the only difference.
-This is for forcing your customers to stay online to even play several games you publish at all.
-This is for backstabbing Valve, preventing the developers you publish for from releasing their games via Steam for the sole purpose of promoting your own platform.
-This is for overhyping your games and not delivering the content you promised.
-This is for increasing the funding of media review organizations to get better reviews of your games.
-This is for monopolizing the entire gaming industry and crushing all that oppose you.

I'm sorry, Electronic Arts. I used to like you, but you had this one coming.
Your days of having hotels on Boardwalk and Park Place are over.

I'm pissed off at EA for their upcoming rape of a game: Dead Space 3. Why? because they put in Co-op because the game was "too scary"

WHAT

ITS NOT EVEN THAT SCARY

They didn't just kill Westwood, they raped the corpse.  While Generals was fun at times, it had its fair share of EA bullstuff (i.e. "building units", menu bar on bottom, plenty of glitches/etc.

why does them putting in more features ruin the game? i like playing with friends, get over yourself.

They buy companies, fire the origional staff, producing then hire people to make stuffty sequels for the console crowd or general casual crowd.
that still doesnt answer my question

besides, they aren't going to personally cater to the hard core nerds who want their games to be 100% perfect. its common sense that they are going to make video games that more people are likely to play. why should they care about the small percentage of whiners that get mad (and thats it) about their game not being perfect?

It's not the co-op. it's that they are turning the game into a mindless shooter

they are still going to make huge money off it though lol. just because it isnt like it was before doesnt mean its going to be a "mindless shooter".
