Author Topic: BLB. Door events to open for specific ID(s)  (Read 5652 times)

Once again I'm surprised no one ever did this. I love BLB doors but there is no way I can only get them to specifically only open for me.

Can someone add ID features and trust features?

Use VCE

I'm not using that crap, ever. Overly complicated and people end up abusing the events and either crashing my server or causing so many god loving exploits I don't need to deal with.

Support.
This is one of the reasons I'm still using JVS

Overly complicated
Haha.

You cannot crash a server with VCE.

And I do support this thread and think it should be default to make restricted kinds of events for doors, but VCE really isn't hard to use when it comes to retrochecking

OnActivate > Self > VCE_RetroCheck > OUTPUT EVENT > BLAH.
OnVariableTrue > Self > OUTPUT EVENT

or

Or you could just use a combo of jvs and BLB. Don't enable that one mod that make JVS work like BLB doors, then just replace the BLB events with JVS events. Instead of contentstart, just put door>toggle

This is why I hate people who just say "use vce"

Quitters.

Don't bup the thread when it was already answered
He said he's not going to use VCE.

So someone could just completely rewrite JVS content and just make it work for BLB doors instead. I wonder why no one done this yet.

How about a button to lock the door from the inside?  Or a secret way to open it?  Or a door that just doesn't open and you have to admin-orb into the room?

The JVS events are a complete clusterforget and should be permanently abandoned.

This and sig'd

The "clusterforget" of events that JVS doors provide give users more ways to use them and adjust them to their liking.

I understand that JVS events can be confusing to users who are not advanced at eventing or playing the game, but people such as myself find them useful, which is why sometimes I prefer JVS over Legacy Doors. It depends on which fits the situation better.
