Author Topic: Anyone else have the flu?  (Read 2906 times)

No, I decided to have the vaccine for the first time last year.

I also never touch my face or eat out in public without a bit of hand sanitizer. Thats what really screws people over.

i get sick like once a year. lasts a week and im fine for the year. never a big deal.

never had a flu shot, never will.

I hear all it takes is a classic case of the flu to change that persons mind. :U

A kid in georgia died from it a few days ago.

You've probably had a weak strain, the flu isn't going to necessarily make you bed ridden unless you get the full on thing.

There is no reason not to get the shot. I hate needles, I get dizzy seeing one approach me. But its not enough to stop me. I can't imagine any other reason for someone not going.

had swine flu once, along with my entire household
it just kinda made everyone tired, less vomit and more headaches/naps

I had it last friday-sunday. Worst loving 48 hours of my life.
I lost 6 pounds and was puking constantly and had the worst sore throat of my life.

Swine flu was significantly weaker than normal flu during 2009.

flu shot just isnt worth it. nothing wrong with getting sick every now and then. its good for the immune system.

and ive had the real flu(s) before. yeah they suck, but still not worth all the fear and drugs.

It's not worth what, exactly?

Since the flu is rapidly changing, and considering how violent and potentially fatal its effects are, there is indeed good reason to get the shot.

Yeah I don't buy that at all sorry. But whatever you say.

I find that drinking a tall glass of 4 parts orange juice 1 part grape juice when you feel like you're getting sick helps you get better quicker. Might be vitamin C+ antioxidants, might be pseudo science. I don't really know and I don't really care, so long as it makes me feel better.

I missed a week of school because of it, and now it's back >.<

flu shots are filled with tons of "junk" just to get a reaction out of your immune system, in hopes that it learns to hate anything that is currently going on, like the dead flus/colds virus' they give you.
but what they dont study is how that same effect can cause a person to become allergic to common household or day to day things as they also are eaten/used during the vaccine time.
and the flu shots change every year, adding more new junk, and more strains of stuff.

there is nothing wrong with vitamin supplements and allowing your body to learn to fight diseases on its own.
i get sick with the same stuff everyone else does and it affects me even less then it does them. however they shouldnt have even gotten sick with the shots they took.... right?

people trying out the new flu shot every year, and pumping themselves with antibiotics like candy. its no wonder they all get sick so easily lol. their immune system is shot.
