Author Topic: Xaos - Yeah, you totally thought of that name on your own.  (Read 9351 times)

Wonderful. Now I have another imposter named "Xaos". What an odd coincidence.

The coincidence being that he decided to make his name exactly the same as mine sans one letter.

Him getting defensive and assholish for no reason - assuming, of course, his story is true and his name is original.
His name history doesn't exactly help his case either, seeing as his other name is mine with a bunch of numbers slapped on the end.

Couple things about Xaos:

He's probably never heard of Xalos because of how new he is

He did change his name to "Xalos2536", but after all, it's a common name.

I honestly believe he was coming up with a name starting with and X and containing as many vowels as possible

The guy obviously wasn't deliberately trying to impersonate you, and you just decided to lash out and antagonize him completely unprovoked.

You are an starfish.

Pretty much this

Why would he impersonate you?

I believe you've taken this too seriously.

Why would he impersonate you?
xalos is known for his scripting

maybe he interpreted scripting as hacking and wants to be all intimidating by being recognized as a hacker

hey, just a theory :i

It's best to not let this kind of thing bother you. Someone once had my name almost exactly, ß and everything.
All I did was state (because he was new) that out names are really similar.

He did not know who I was.
(or he was a good actor)

Yep.
Accidental impersonation happens.
Especially when your name is something like that.

Yeah really, you don't seem like you have many impostors to begin with anyway OP (not saying anything just being objective here).

I did the same thing when I used to go by "General Nick" and saw anyone else who had "General (first name)" or anything similar to it, really it's not that big of a deal and unless they're really claiming to be you it's not something worth getting all brown town retentive about.

You're still Xalo to someone.

That was not the whole chat in the OP.

noticed that too but
