Talk to Shappeh if anything, he's in charge of code and how it goes, I simply decide what's coded.

Rather I was hoping the more you got shot at, the more suppressed you got sort of thing. But I understand if it's too complicated.
It would require much more code and wouldn't greatly affect gameplay, so there's not much need. We could look into it once we're done but for now it'll be put aside.

Do vehicles require parts to repair them? How common/rare are vehicles? And what types of vehicles are there? How many will there be?
Vehicles will function much like in DayZ. Players will have a hard to finding them and the parts required to repair them. Right now Derroith is wanting to just include the default Jeep vehicle as kind of a test run for vehicles and until the map is completed, we don't know how many there will be.

Do you guys need any help coding?
I don't know how that would work out; I'd love help, but I feel like I'd just be feeding you instructions unless you took on a different project from Derroith.

Yes, very easily- we will host custom maps in the future if they're any good and fall under our prerequisites.

Since I'm departing for about five days I thought a todo list would be great for both of my contributors.

Busy five days, but they will be glorious- good luck my two friends I hope for lot's of great things from this project!  :cookie:

Also, now is the time to suggest things as we're moving steadily. Shoot me a PM or post here if you have any suggestions, I'll run them over and make a final decision, feel free to suggest weaponry as well that you believe would fit perfectly into our mod. When I come back I will be opening a PayPal so anyone who wanted to donate, your time has arrived! I also want this topic to constantly stay on the first page just to make sure it's alive and well flowing, if certain people keep the topic bumped they will be rewarded greatly, anyone who truly respects this topic will be rewarded in the long run- I just have to see your respect for it.

Shappeh and poo will post updates on what they've been doing but no screenshots (yet!) because we want this to be a hell of a surprise!

So how will vehicles work

That's a very vague question.

There will be very few spawns on the island that will randomly feature a vehicle from a short list of vehicle types. These vehicles were likely left behind by the residents because of their needed repairs, so expect to go searching for spare parts. Some other vehicles might have been left behind as a result of low fuel. We have already added several fuel stations around the island so assume vehicles will require fuel. Since vehicle collision is tricky, most vehicles will travel at a slow speed and feature nothing more than a means of transportation (and attention).

While using vehicles make multiple mounting points, such as on the roof or the cargo area in a car.
Players will be able to sit in those, but zombies can grab them out of them and the player would have to repeatably click a button to avoid being pulled off. Spare parts can be used to make them mode secure.
