I always hated how a kid could not like you, go to the principal's office, tell them you had some marijuana, they check your backpack and locker and find no marijuana, you still get suspended/expelled. Also some kid corners you and starts throwing punches, you punch back to defend yourself, school says "its not self defense unless you would have died had you not defended yourself" they basically spit in real laws face. In real law if someone shows intent to harm you you can defend yourself even before they try it but in school you have to sit in the fetal position taking a beating and once you're within an inch of your life then you can fight back and probably still get expelled.
School is the most unjust and unconstitutional legal system in the world.
I know, right? It's dumber than stuff. I see crap go down and all the wrong people get in trouble for it. Mrs. Marron in 8th grade was an absolute dumbass (and she was called Mrs. Moron behind her back as a result). She yelled at me for opening my backpack to get a pencil during work time because "the zipper was too loud".
And now she's not just the HSP teacher, she's a science teacher too, and the consensus among 99% of the student body is that she needs to be fired.
I also knew a guy who would constantly attack everyone and he never got punished at all. He was punching people, burning people with a hot glue gun, stealing money, attacking people at their bus stop, all sorts of stuff, and it took SIX PEOPLE going ALL AT ONCE to the vice principal's office before they did anything about it, and even then, the punishments were either NOT ENFORCED or they were OBVIOUSLY FOR THIS JACKASS'S OWN PROTECTION (the six were me, Chase, Jacob, Coady, T.J., and someone else who I don't remember; T.J. was about ready to knock this punk's lights out and said so in front of the vice principal)
I think he finally got overconfident and tried to rape a seventh grader and wound up in juvie.
Things teachers are NOT legally allowed to do (things you can actually SUE THEM FOR):
-Taking your things without reasonable cause (because you were texting in class does NOT count as reasonable cause, for example.)
-Forcing you to stay after school (After school is done, you can leave no matter what they say and they can't do a damn thing about it)
-Looking in your locker without reasonable cause
-Physical punishment
-Harassment (if the teachers are bullying you constantly, you can get them fired. I'm not kidding.)
-Invasion of privacy (again unless there is reasonable cause, thanks for reminding me, maroon)
Teachers are literally powerless, don't put up with any of the things listed above. If they do any of those things, take some loving action.
The problem is that when you start school, every year, they hide stuff that lets them do this in the fine print and make you sign it without giving you time to read it. It's like "Oh by the way, this is the student agreement, sign it before you leave orientation, we're kicking you out of the building in three minutes."
Also, there was a vice-principal at my school some years ago (my cousin went to the same high school that I'm in now) and the rule was if you were still on school property when class started you weren't allowed to leave, so he would go out before class started and stand in the way of all the cars so nobody could leave.
I hear he finally got fired after someone got tired of him and almost ran him over.
