Author Topic: Teachers lie to your face.  (Read 7715 times)

You know when you have to sign a student handbook at the beginning of the year, it takes away a lot of any rights you think you have.
Except not because when you sign it you are a minor and are not bound. Especially if you didn't realize it took away your rights. Furthermore, you cannot sign away a lot of your rights even if you are an adult. Another thing to realize is that as a minor you have protections instead of rights so you really can't sign them away. Rights implies you have the burden of fighting for yourself, but as a minor the state is require to protect you.

i didnt sign my student handbook B)
couldnt go to our first non-formal dance, was ok because it was during halloween and no one went

Schools and Governments are run by out of touch with reality people. I have a few teachers I can't wait to pull over and write a traffic ticket too.
This so much.

Nope, your parents sign it. You have no privacy and many other protections people believe they have. It's part of the contract of being able to go to school.

Earlier today I was walking into class and a black girl grabbed my head and shook it, screeching like a monkey, then looked at me and said "Oops, wrong person." She then walked away like nothing happened, but later she ran into the classroom, again, screeching like a monkey, then ran out.
I was walking up the stairs one time when some chick yelled at me "brother where the forget you think you're goin'?" and i turned around right as she finished and she looked terrified and apologized

Might one of them be your english/language arts/grammar teacher?

Quick question why did the contents of that drive get you in trouble
It might have been some illegal firmware, or the teacher wanted to have it?

I didn't get in trouble the tech guy did nothing but told me she sent it to him.

ask her why she didn't give you the flash drive that was clearly lying on the desk instead of saying "oh I don't know where it is"

Did you just figure this out now?

Ok, I just found out that despite it not being written down anywhere in the school handbook or anywhere else, it's apparently against my school's policy to have any mobile device even capable of running games, regardless of what it's actually used for. Furthermore it's apparently against school policy to do anything BUT school-related stuff at school. They don't care if you're done with all your classwork. I actually had a teacher say to my face "If you're done, it means you haven't checked your work enough times."
I loving hate the school system. It's so borked up.
