Truthfully, if you were going to, you wouldn't have asked us for our input, so I'd put a bit of money against you actually following through with this.
But it the event that you do, don't make it awkward, just be cool, making it awkward will end the friendship if she says no. If you're cool about it and take it easy and don't turn into a douche because she's not into you, I doubt she would just stop being your friend.
