Which one do you think matters more...
Post your opinions below.

I'm going to be hosting a lounge server with many people and so far I'm up to 70k bricks with only about 1/2 done.
I feel with the brick count rising to fast, people with worse PC's wont be able to handle the build.
What's you're opinion, for this build or in general.
Screenshots will be posted by request. (There will be a gallery post later anyway so don't ask for the sake of just looking at it)

Use as many bricks as you need to get the job done.

my computer can only handle bout' 100k bricks with 20 people. even then I get 15 fps lold

Looks. I'm never needlessly spammy, but if a detail needs to be perfect, it needs to be absolutely perfect and the number of bricks it takes to do that doesn't factor into what I do in the slightest.

Gameplay.
Well when the gameplay is building and making things look good...

The build is the gameplay.
That's just wrong.

Eye candy builds can have stuff gameplay, and vice versa.

It really depends on what is being built.

There's no reason detail has to be 100% sacrificed for gameplay; there are grey spots between these black and white options

And as for gameplay: gameplay doesn't necessarily mean lower brickcount than detailed. It's all based on the design.

if youre making something like a DM or city RPG, i would say keep brick count as low as possible - dont sacrifice so much that your buildings are just grey boxes

if you want to make something else, looks all the way- but dont overdetail things; just because something is incredibly detailed does not mean its good

You can't have reasonable gameplay without a reasonable build.

That feel when I'm the only one who voted the bottom one...

Reasonable build doesn't always mean high brickcount though.

Sleven is right, the build is the gameplay. Most of the time, you need a good build to make for a good game.

Actually I was on my way to vote that. :u

Yup. Never said the opposite.
