Author Topic: Do you think internet friends count as "real" friends?  (Read 6147 times)

I wouldn't know. I don't consider anyone on the internet a friend.

However, I do think they can be considered real friends. You spend time together(via computer), enjoy each other's company, and have common interests

I think they're as real as you make 'em.

you want to meet up with people in real life to play blockland with them?

I find it easier to interact with people when I don't have to look at them and/or we share a common goal or interest (usually relating to a game).

I like most of my long-distance friends more than ones from school.

If you speak to them regularly about a variety of subjects then yeah, they're friends. I probably wouldn't class them as close friends though, you'd have to meet them for that I think
