Author Topic: A thank you note to Badspot and the community.  (Read 2428 times)

I just want to say thank you.
You guy's are one of the biggest impacts in my life, ranging from teaching me how to code (which has changed my entire life) to generally telling me things about society. People like to think of reddit as their central source of information, well, I like to think of the Blockland Forums as my reddit, I learn interesting things here than I do in school sometimes. Sure some people may say "the blockland community is just a bunch of meany poopoos"
you guys are not mean. (thats a lie some of you are), most of you guys are just honest, probably because in real life if you're honest then your parents take away your computer and you get your ass beaten.  That aside, I'm sure many other people could say this, that the Blockland Community (mostly the forumers) have taught you things and skills that you just dont learn anywhere else. You guy's aren't like the Garry's Mod community where you have to do something super loving massive to get known. I mean look at Glass. When he came here he was an annoying little squeaking idiot. Though look what you've done guys. Now he is a bit less annoying and he's probably matured. If any of you guys remember, when I joined blockland, I was younger. I wasn't mature and my only friends were cheese6 and Smedly (who no longer is with us (not dead just stopped playing)). My first add-on was called "Ammo Gun." I just changed the ammo field on the image to 10. I thought that I had really done something cool. Like I had just changed something big.
Well after about 90 comment of "wtf is this stuff u spamin cigarettet gtfo lol n00b cigarettett handicap!!!!" I learned quite a bit. So as my final note for this topic,

Thanks for being ass's sometimes guys. You've made many people better people.

thanks a lot to you too starfish

come back any time stranger!

you guys are not mean.
wait, was this sarcasm
because if not
then
wow

The only thing better than this community is a delicious summer ham.

I've learnt a lot from this community too. Thankfully i un-learnt it afterwards.

wait, was this sarcasm
because if not
then
wow
only some people are. ;)

this forum is facepunch forums only not as much moderaters and less bans

...and legos

Well sure
I mean I respect you pretty well since you fixed Bot Events and one of the nicest people here but I don't think BL is THAT amazing. Granted, it's a small community, so it's easier to know people, but I think you over-exaggerated. Also teach me how to dougie code plz <3

I was going to think that this entire post was sarcastic.
I still do.

Personally, as sarcastic as the OP might have been (I can't tell through text), I would actually have to agree.
This place has had a positive impact on my life. And not just in the give-you-stuff-to-do-in-your-free-time sort of way.
It made me take a closer look at considering computer programming as a living, and hopefully my high school will get a computer programming class someday (Yes, my high school has no programming courses AT ALL. They just cut the closest thing, an HTML class, from the schedule this year. It's awful.)
That, and the hours and hours of laughs I've had. It's been a good experience.
