Incorrect. Do a little research. Several other people have recently come forward saying Glee did the same thing: doing "covers" of covers, because there's an easy copyright loophole there. This has been mentioned in multiple articles in various sites covering this, most notably (and obviously) in Wired article title "Jonathan Coulton Explains How Glee Ripped Off His Cover Song — And Why He’s Not Alone" Note the "Why He's Not Alone" part of the title.
