So teaching my kid to be a man and stand up for himself, rather than go tell a "higher-up" teacher to do the stuff themselves is bad practice?

...

YES, IT IS!

How loving stupid are you?!

What are you even talking about?

He didnt know what he was doing.

He does MMA and says he watches people getting choked out all the time.

I like op.
Op isn't a bitch like 70% of topic :)

actually, hes a bitch BECAUSE he just took it.

Its a good practice if you want the stuff beat out of them and you are willing to pay for hospital bills.

yeah don't snitch, man. if your stuff gets stolen don't do anything about it that makes you a pusillanimous individual!! and if your girlfriend ever gets raped don't call the cops you queer!!

some of you are goddamn handicaps (jazz/yola/whatever the forget your stupid name is)

have fun raising a loving failure you twat

So, you were choked long enough to temporarily lose consciousness and that's just a blip on your radar? Not physical assault? Not a reason to see to it that the guy is punished so he understands that that's not acceptable in society?

Good job bro.

get out.

This whole "snitching" argument is really loving stupid and immature. Beating / choking your friends unconscious is also very loving stupid. If OP feels there was malice intended in being choked out, maybe he should tell a loving teacher. It's his call and there's ample reason to. You guys make me embarrassed to be a part of this forum.

I suddenly feel like a disturbing amount of forumers are the stereotypical douchebags they make fun of.
"YOLO man telling a responsible adult you were assaulted is for loving PUSSIES"
Yes, I knew this guy was the OP's "friend," but I'm talking about Yola and Kisamber. Yes, I understand it's important to teach a kid to stand up for himself, but certain situations like that are different. Especially if you're in (presumably high school?) and there are plenty of responsible adults there for that exact reason. Later in life running to the police sometimes is definitely not the answer, but the OP is still in school.

I don't know about op but if somebody were to have choked me...

I actually don't know what I would do but I hope it would be badass

Funny, some dude did that to me in HS except I kicked him in the balls from behind while he was doing it. Now, this guy was notorious for getting hyped up on crack/whatever the forget else he took and going to school. Anyway he got up (wtf, idk how he wasn't on the ground maybe I didn't completely hit him?) and slammed me against a locker. By the time there was a circle of people forming around the fight. I seriously thought that I would get forgeted and hospitalized; I'm not a big dude and compared to this guy... well... I took my belt off and whipped him with the buckle. After it was done HE was hospitalized with a fractured skull, broken teeth, and some broken fingers I think. forget fights, I was shook up for a few weeks. Glad OP didn't start stuff.

ITT: "don't be a friend snitch enrd he was jokin GOSH"

He choked him into unconsciousness. I'm not saying you should report him, but that's not something you should brush off.

that was the kid who helped me up not the kid who choke me

You should read first

Holy forget you're indiana jones

If the dude was his friend he probably won't ever do it again, considering the results. But how dumb do you have to be to realize that if you have someone in a choke hold and they aren't resisting, that might be a time to stop.

My dad and I wrestle, so he usually chokes me out. Its not fun, but you're kinda in a bliss state after you wake up.

So let me get this straight.
As a regular thing to do, your dad chokes you until you are unconscious for an unspecified amount of time, which you apparently do not enjoy.
