I dont know if it would be possible, but maybe a spray paint that turns the brick into a mirror, so you could walk up to it or something and you would be able to see yourself or behind you...

would pwn but the whole thigns of mirrors in blockland is every brick would be rendered an additional time for each mirror, plus many other glitches and bugs dealing with the simpleness in torque (even after badspots modifications to the engine) the game would not be able to handle these efficiently

I see... maybe something (like a mod) that makes it so there is a brick (under Specials) that is a mirror, but you can only place one at a time?

There have been mirrors in maps before, the only problem was that you couldn't see yourself if you were viewing it in the first person. But, if maps can have mirrors, wouldn't it be possible to create a mirror object and make it plant with a specified brick type/ plant on a brick that is painted with a certain type of paint?

The problem is not with creating mirror bricks. It is (as Ladios said quite clearly) simply a case of lag.

A mirror creates a duplicate of the digital world or map and all the objects reflected in it. This theoretically doubles the load on the server, on the clients and the whole system.

Wow, I must have been posting past my bedtime again, I read what Ladios said, but it seems my brain messed up somewhere in the process of translating English to English... Well, there could always be the option of making it super-admin only, and putting a limit on the number allowed per server.

also another issue would be that the server would need to relight the scene every time one of thse bricks are made

face two mirrors at each other creating infinite amount of mirror interior

mirrors dont work well in torque, look at the one in the AoT port shop, theres loads of white lines in it, wouldnt work =/ cool idea tho

lol...you must be looking at the player model reflection...not at the mirror itself. :)
