its ok but the hunters always win

everyone needs to stop bitching about origin
you don't even need to have it running to play almost all games
No, you do.  It's pretty much a full counterpart to Steam, except nobody uses the friends system or whatever it has built in because Steam surpasses that or games have their own layer of friends systems.

Found it to be varying on how the CELL do.  If CELL group up and play smart then they will definitely win.

i have personally launched plenty of games downloaded through origin without origin running
no idea what you're on about...

Is it true that Crytek's Crysis games have had a history of being poorly optimized? I haven't been bothered to play them but I might change my mind with this one. Also, how far can a 560 Ti and an i7 core get me with in terms of settings?

On another note, is Crytek STILL trying to instill anti-piracy measures that are bound to fail and hurt the paying customer? I haven't played their games much like I said before, but I have read up on some negative articles concerning this practice of DRM.

Also, do you think EA will put in microtransactions in the game like Dead Space 3? :cookieMonster:

Bump, just tried this out. Pretty cool stuff, I might get the pre-order/buy the game at some point.

I think the first Crysis could have been optimized to a higher extent, but I haven't played the second one. However, Crysis 3, at least is well optimized in terms of what you're seeing on the screen, it's a very pretty game.

And I think you could run it at around low - medium settings, I do apologize if I am incorrect in my judgement because I don't have that much experience with Nvidia cards. I have a 660, and it runs quickly, and clearly at high - very high settings.

Simcity requires Origin to stay running.  If it crashes or you force it closed while it's running, the game will quit itself warning the user to ensure Origin stays running.

Let me go ahead and humor you for C3 beta and even BF3.

EDIT:  Nope, BF3 opened Origin right back up.  Crysis 3 Beta gives a recommendation message about closing Origin, and considering the Origin logo is plastered on the game's log in, probably not a good idea.  Did it anyway, nothing seemed to happen but it's not probably not a good idea.

i think you're confused, I never said all games could launch without it running

Must've missed that bit, in that case you're definitely right.  Their older games definitely don't, but I definitely think their new and future games will require Origin much like Steam-purchased games require Steam.

looks like nasa's going to need to upgrade their computers.

I tried to play it, really I did. But just like Crysis 2, it couldn't comprehend matchmaking worth stuff for me.

My custom only runs this on High with 2x anti-aliasing and I still fluctuate between smooth and a tad choppy. :(
