so I have homework
and my mind is malfunctioning

2 cases

1. I know z, x, c, d - how do I find out y?
2. know a, b, x, z - how2findout y

give us the numbers, if you would.

yes, numbers are needed.

linear interpolation man

linear interpolation

I don't see why but k

first case
x = 2
z = 12
c = 5
d = 20

second case
a = 400
b = 200
x = 1400
z = 1800

um no, it'd be a formula

that's why I said I don't see why

some guy said it's about th. thales but we only learned that for triangles

oh
it sounded like he was asking for lengths

oh
it sounded like he was asking for lengths

na
I'm asking for a formula so I can find out the lenghts myself
because asking the lenghts themselves would be too damn lazy of me

um no, it'd be a formula
i meant the results of the angles he had already worked out.

i meant the results of the angles he had already worked out.

angles
what angles
the only angles are there to show that w, x, y and z are parallel

first case

y = x + (z - x) * (c / (c + d))

second case

y = x + (z - x) * (a / (a + b))

do you mean to say that lerp means the paranthesis or that lerp*paranthesis

do you mean to say that lerp means the paranthesis or that lerp*paranthesis

linear interpolation man

linear interpolation

but ill write it differently hold on

first case

y = x + (z - x) * (c / (c + d))

second case

y = x + (z - x) * (a / (a + b))

   ___
Is eab supposed to be a straight line?

What level of math are you in cause there are multiple ways to do this.

Here's some hints since you won't learn anything unless you do it yourself

(a : a + b) = (c : c + d) = (y - x : z - x)

maths
Dude, you're depriving this young and growing mind from a full fledged educational experience.
