Author Topic: Tiny tina (BL2) Might get a character change  (Read 2566 times)

Classifying her speech style as strictly "African American" seems more tribal than her actually speaking. It makes me die inside whenever people try to combat racism by segregating certain actions, beliefs, or styles of speech to one specific race.

Also I'm not arguing about any character in the game, I'm arguing about the principle of the debate. To be honest I didn't really enjoy Borderlands 2 very much and haven't played it in quite a while.

I like Tina Tiny, the Sarcastic Slab, Elyse Booth, Face Mcshooty, and that sheriff guy.
Fixd

Tiny Tina is one of my favorite characters. :S

the thing that is mostly noticable is that it's almost always more white guys than black guys getting pissed about this sort of stuff because according to them, it's "tribal".

The real tribal people are the ones who referring to how she speaks as "African American Lingo"

Thats pretty tribal and stereotypical

>Telling Gearbox to take offensive things out of Borderlands.
>Being serious.

I laughed

Instead of spending the money to write Tina's dialog correctly, they should spend it on giving Sir Hammerlock a bigger mustache.

I support this, let's start a petition

No, I love Tiny Tina's dialogue, I love crazy characters in games, and I'm sure Gearbox wasn't intending to offend people, some idiot just decided to make a huge issue of it.

fun fact: the guy who started that whole argument got fired because of it

Mike Sacco from Cryptozoic Entertainment?
