Author Topic: Do you play any indie games?  (Read 3657 times)

Prison Architect. So much damn fun.

I just play whatever seems fun to me

I've played Blockland, Minecraft, Amnesia, Audiosurf and Super Meat Boy.

All the girls at my schools cheerleading team play Mienkrap and WoW. It's freaky knowing many of them pretend to be boys to avoid creep's.

I always play Cave Story, it's just my favorite indie game. It's graphics are just... ASTOUNDING, and the art is amazing. The gameplay is simple, just pick up and play... it also makes you think, and look around your environment. Also, the boss battles always get my blood pumping, it's just... the ultimate indie game for me.

antichamber is a very good indie puzzly thing

I think you might like Hurrican if you enjoy blood-pumping shoot-em-up 2D gameplay.

i don't think we should be dividing games into indie/not indie because somehow giving your money to a small  group of greedy people is different from giving money to a large group of greedy people

everyone on this forum has played indie games because blockland is an indie game

i personally play mount and blade and europa universalis 3

The worst was when people were calling indie a genre in the other topic.

The worst was when people were calling indie a genre
then what exactly is it?
i thought it was a genre (but not placed in the same category as action/puzzle/strategy etc.)

Genres in video games are somewhat different than other forms of art because they are very seldom based on theme, style, tone, or audience as in film or literature. Instead most video game genres are based on the way in which the player interacts with the game.

I fell in love with Dear Esther with its amazing story and soundtrack.
