That's because R4's don't have plastic gearboxes like that other MP7 lol

Any good snipers from $150 to $200?
JG VSR-10, UTG L96, or UTG M324S and spend what you saved on upgrades

Terrible recommendation.
Ok, now you're just being defiant and annoying. For what reason, is that gun not quality. If it is the plastic stock, what is wrong with that? They last a long time and I don't think I could crack mine if I wanted to... unless I got a hammer or something. Just please, stop hating on a good brand for guns in the $50 to $100 range.

WELL is not a good brand

I think I'll pass on the JG VSR-10 because the WELL MB03 is just a replica of that and it wouldn't be much of an upgrade at all. The UTG M324S isn't much of an upgrade either. On the other hand, I've been looking at the UTG L96 for a while now. I will plan on getting that sometime later this year. Or maybe even in a couple weeks.

Also, what does a suppressor do on an airsoft spring sniper? It obviously doesn't make it much quieter because there are no gasses to remove and get rid of. Does it just increase the accuracy? Thats the kind of upgrade I'm looking for, not fps upgrades.

They work perfectly for me. I guess we can disagree.

they hide extended barrels and look cool, much like what you see here

you've only owned one by the look of it, and you also seem really new to the world of airsoft outside backyard shenanigans

PS it's hard to screw up a spring bolt-action sniper sooo yeah

I'm going to have to agree. The only way WELL guns turn out fine is if someone reconstructs the internals with upgraded parts. Even then it wouldn't truly be a WELL, just a WELL Body with kickass internals. And even the bodies are not the best.

I would get an r4, but don't want $40 shipping to AK, with a good internals job, it would be amazing

Anyone know what type of gas this gun uses? If I ever bought a pistol it would probably be this one.

Another note: how hard would it be to build your own airsoft gun? Is it cheaper? Or just merely for customization?

Meh i guess.

Also, I got some target practice today. I shot 3 chipmunks and 1 goose within 5 minutes. Took 2 shoots on the 1st chipmunk before I could hit it, then the other 2 were 1st shot hits. The chipmunks were at about 100 feet and 75 feet. The goose at about 125 to 130ish.

If I do get the UTG L96, should I take the scope off of my WELL MB03? Or should I get another scope. That would kinda suck having to spend $160 on a sniper then having to spend another $40 on a scope.

I think it's propane, not sure though. I'm not an expert on blowback guns. All I know is that CO2 not often used with the nice guns.

People say it's compatible with KSC Glock mags so it must use propane

Airsoft GI has some money-saving scope packages with that gun, but if your current scope is fine I'd just use that
