My cybergun ak74u is pretty horrible at the moment
I charge it for 3-4 hours, put it in, then it runs out of battery in about five minutes. All in all I think the gun was a waste of money lol

There's literally so many different types of airsoft that you should ignore advice and learn from experience.
Feel it out. It won't be completely perfect the first time, but you learn from mistakes.

halp guys

im going to my first airsoft war tommorrow, and I have no idea wtf im doing. some people are bring extras for me (read: ill get stuff). good lord what did I get myself into lol. Is there anything I should wear, it's goin to be cold. It's also in the dark.
Best advice 2013: don't take the shot unless you are absolutely sure toucan hit your target. Don't fire just to fire (unless its cover fire)

So, there are these Paintball bbs that i've seen around the internet for a while. One of the two things I hate about airsoft is that fact that you can't be too sure if someone was hit or not, unless you actually see the BB hit them. I was also thinking that these could be a great medium betweeen Airsoft and Paintball, but i've never used any before. Do they break/pop inside guns with higher fps? I just want to know if anyone here used them before.

Also, the HK SL9 is one of my dream guns oh man.

add a bipod, drum mag and trijicon sight and you've got the loveiest thing on the battlefield

Just get a gun that can actually leave a mark, I've seen some guns leave marks that look like serious bee stings, some that leave craters, others that can leave a scar.

Anything that can do a weak 300 FPS with .20's is enough to cause noticeable pain at 10 yards

tbh Shadowed I'd just stick with normal white BB's-- the color makes it easy enough to track your rounds so you know for sure if they hit

300 fps is like
Laughable

Would this be a good buy if I just want to be able to play with my friends every once in a while and not have to rely on them for extras? It's dirt cheap and I don't expect it to last long at all, but then again I won't be using it very much either. For over 300 fps and $30 it looked not bad. Got good reviews too.

What are your preferences of spring, gas, and co2 on pistols, rifles, and shotguns?

"This product was added to our catalog on Tuesday 01 January, 2008."
I wouldn't recommend it.

What's wrong with that? What would you suggest given what I'd be using it for, and that I'd prefer some sort of full/semi auto weapon?

It's just really cheap because it's really old, they want to get rid of it. The thing will probably be full plastic, have a plastic gear box, and feel really cheap, but it's probably one of the better deals for $30.
Personally though, I would get a shotgun because those things can be pretty hardy and have a high fps for the price.
If $30 is all you have to spend, then go for it.

Ehhh, I guess I'll wait until I've built my computer and my cash has been replenished so I can do it right. Thanks for your opinions though.
