I loving wish i could get windows 7, i cant stand the search feature for XP.
As soon as I upgrade my computer, im gonna be all over that stuff

My god I cant stand winxp its so ugly I use win7 and I think its decent.

I can't wait till I can get my hands on a windows 7 license, I hate XP.

Looks like windows vista won't install either from boot.
Gonna let it fail for sure, then try to install it from xp as an upgrade.
When that doesn't work (assuming it won't) it's gonna be time to just repair my linux and buy a USB.

I personally don't understand why everyone has a problem with windows XP. I actually like the classic theme, and the default blue screen background.

Eh imo the classic theme just looked too 95ish.

I dislike XP because the whole blue and green color scheme is hideous, including the green and silver color scheme. While the Zune theme polishes it, it's really nothing noticeable.
And the entire bitmap abuse thing is annoying.

Usually if I want something that's close to XP, I'll go with Win2k or a Windows Whistler build.

TBH I liked the theme, 95 or XP.
stuff doesn't always have to look 'new', just preform like it is.

try to upgrade to 7 instead of installing directly from ubuntu to 7

try to upgrade to 7 instead of installing directly from ubuntu to 7
>im now using XP
>im now using VISTA
>hope to upgrade to windows 7

Well gee, it's almost like I'm trying that.

Nah but, this is rediclious.
Including the two reinstals of ubuntu, I've installed 5 operating systems (4 different ones) to my pc tonight, and it's taken over three hours so far)

The windows 7 installer STILL won't work, and even if it did, the upgrade option will only work for the 32bit version, which is no good (I already have 6gb of ram and hope to upgrade to 16gb soon)
So I'm at a pause here. Best thing I can do is get another windows 7 cd and hope it works, then run a complete reinstall.

Were are you getting the money to buy these OS's?
