I dunno, a mount and blade type of thing would work pretty well.

There are several civil war games, they just never sold well

Well I'm looking for a Medieval / Civil War era. Mount and blade With fire and sword is pretttttyyy bad. It doesn't make you feel excited at all, it made me feel like I was playing depression rp thing, its sooo bland too.

Anyways, I just want to mix like Guns (not automatic but you know civil war type guns) and swords together.
With Fire and Sword was dead boring.

But, With Fire and Sword is based off of a book, of the same name. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/With_Fire_and_Sword

I would have liked Napoleonic Wars if it had a regular Single-Player Mount & Blade gamemode to it.
The gun and cannon mechanics are pretty interesting (if very slow [Which is expected] for a game), and would make for some interesting battles.

If they can fit some ship-to-ship battles in Mount & Blade: Bannerlords, I would love it.
I actually really really enjoyed the naval battles aboard the Aquila in Assassin's Creed III. I would play a whole game with that style of gameplay. Sadly, the only games I know of like it are AC3, and BountyBayOnline/VoyageCenturyOnline.

Sid Meier's pirates is pretty decent

how fun could they be.
line up and shoot straight. over and over and over.

there is no hero or impulsive action like running around on your own all cod style
is that all you think the civil war seriously was?

People in the industry treat race issues like plutonium, that stuff is radioactive.
but when harnessed correctly, can be a powerful source of energy?

Fire! Take 10 minutes to reload! Fire again!

I think the same thing about dinosaur games.

I mean imagine a game like FC3 in a Jurassic Park-like environment.

Would be loving amazing.

Skyrim is a civil war game

Far cry 3 was so mediocre it was average. If you're going to do a dinosaur game, build it around the dinosaurs.

I mean the basis of FC3

Free-roam world with quests, I guess a better comparison would be Skyrim.

Same reason as no real WWI games:  it's just lines of troops firing and dying.  There's no real "line" to follow.

Unless it was done as an RTS, then that'd be fun.  A WWI RTS in the style of Company of Heroes would be cool.

you are a loving genius

i once played this game demo on xbox a few years back, it was real cool actually

it was about this time traveler who kept traveling between different time periods so you can fight in like the civil war and then the revolutionary war then ww1 but the only thing is i forgot the name of the game

I dunno, a mount and blade type of thing would work pretty well.
WW2 was the first real war, they only figured out how to fight with modern weapons towards the end of WW1 because before that the main tactic was to fire at each other with rifles that took 30 seconds to load. Do you honestly think that a game where your rifle takes 30 seconds to load would be fun? Even a WW1 game would suck, because it mainly consisted of running at your enemy until the machine gunner kills enough of your guys to warrant a retreat, mustard gas, and getting shelled.
