Author Topic: Anyone else hate the steam chat update?  (Read 1857 times)

almost literally everything (except steam now, apparently) has that feature. even IRC clients
IRC clients even one-upped themselves with /slap!

fukkin cigarettegets dont evn know how to trun an im servic

I keep saying /me and then an action and then I look like a complete idiot after I do it. They should readd it but fix it so it cant be exploited.

Still.. the /me made the steam chat really unique. :/
MSN had it, Skype has it, and lots of others.

It's good that it's gone.
Of course there will always be those people who hate change though

I wish it'd save chats from back in 2007 :(

i'm still gonna use /me even though it's broken

* Isjix flips a table and trips over it in anger because /me is removed

forget how are me and Stocking supposed to roleplay now?

Uhhh, Anyone else remember *throws a chair out the window*
Using the ** method?

i like the saved chats part. /me was pretty useless though

remove clientregistry.blob from steam folder
NO DONT
Doing that broke several games for me and I had to reinstall windows to fix it

You must have done something severely incorrectly.

the only thing that bugs me is that when a notification appears showing a message, and when i click on it, it opens the chat window but i can't see the message that was sent

what kind of idiots were falling for /me scams
people suffering because some people are extremely loving stupid

just another day at earth

* Perlin Noise is sad about the removal of slash me

just kidding, I didn't update!
anyone who has updated can't see your /me commands
