Author Topic: Furdle's Star Wars Battlefront Server has bad administering.  (Read 5780 times)

Still doesn't make it right, heed.
it doesn't matter. if the host is going to do what they want, informing them whats right and wrong isn't going to change a thing. slapping stickers (abusive, fair, justified, right, power-hungry) onto things the host does isn't going to change a thing. "thats not right" "thats badmining", "that ban was unfair", sticking tags onto the actions of the host doesn't matter when the host will do what they want. whats right and whats wrong? in the host's server, that's entirely up to the host and you won't be able to do a single thing about it.

holy stuff it is.

Yes. It does. The Empire was spawn killing my tits all over the damn map, and they did absolutely nothing.

Well the empire can do whatever it wants actually. They spawn killed everyone on alderan,

This is in exceedingly poor taste, and is simply the act of trying to steal players from a popular server. A server that was popular because it has had some hard work put into it, and does have hard work still put in to it by Furdle and the rest of his administrative team and helpers.
Furdle didn't get people to join his server by joining other servers and asking people to join. So why should Neymar be allowed to get away with it?
I never said he should've gottten away with it, if you read the OP, I said he should've warned him first to stop or kick him. Then if he does it again, then he can get banned. Just banning him once without any warning, espically since it's a perma, is not good administering in my eyes.

Waldo, you were banned for going on about it.
You likely would not have been banned if you hadn't have said "wow bad admins".
It's obvious to me, that this drove Furdle over the edge, and he immediately banned you. The time between you saying that and the ban is relatively short.
And the fact that Furdle used the previous ban he had for Neymar, which is identical and is simply used as the most recent ban-reason, just tells me that he banned you quickly on impulse.
You are right that I shouldn't have said "wow bad admins" but I was getting frustated because he doesn't have any server rules, doesn't warn people, cusses at his players when he gets angry, and when he bans he doesn't have valid reasons. It's just a really lame reason of "no.". That ban reason does not seem professional to me.

And your comment was rude, and unneeded.
Had you argued the case without resorting to insult, perhaps you'd have been left alone.
But instead of thinking about what happened, you jumped to conclusions and insulted. If you get banned for that, it's entirely your fault.
Furdle cussed at me before I even insulted him. Furdle said to me "Waldo, shut the f**k up". When admins say that to their players when they don't want to hear things, I feel like they don't care to treat their players nicely. Furdle could've said "Waldo, shut up." without even using a cuss word. If he said it that way, maybe I wouldn't have said "wow bad admins". The exact reason I said "wow bad admins" is because he cussed at me and I felt like I was being mistreated.

If you're lucky you might be unbanned and allowed to return to the server.
I'd like it if you were, and I'm sure Furdle would too.
I don't really care if I get unbanned, I may not return to the server because I don't like how the administering is done.

It's not his aim to ban people from the server. He wants people to join and enjoy the time, effort and money that has gone in to him creating the server for others. If people were to join and respect the server a little bit, everything would run smoothly.
If he would've talked more nicely to his players, maybe I would've respected him and his server more. Him cussing at me shows that he doesn't respect his players that much.

Firstly, I banned the guy for advertising.
Secondly, I banned you for annoying me.
Ok the first ban I can understand but a perma ban was not needed. Why did you perma ban me for annoying you? I wouldn't call a perma ban for annoying someone a good ban and why don't you administer more like a professional? You administer like a noobie, no offense, but that how it feels to me. You give unprofessional reasons and you don't warn or have server rules. Kids play these games, so not every kid knows what not to do. That's why most admins have server rules or warn people.

Perma means permanent.
As in, I don't want to bother with you permanently.

How do you administer something?
I like how everyone in this thread picked up this word and used it without thinking.

It's obviously implied.

I was trying to help your server a little but it seems like you don't want that.

i'm having trouble sympathizing with the 'victim' here because i think advertising your server like that is despicable.
