ITT we argue about Windows 8 rather than answering OP.

Why would I want Windows 8 when it doesn't do anything that Windows 7 can't do?

well its better answering somebody's criticism on windows 8 instead of telling him to forget off.
& I like windows 7 and windows 8 equally.

ITT sentry posts a random insult towards windows 8 rather than answering OP.

Mine finished pretty quickly so I'm not sure what might be going on here. Are you installing it by itself on your hard drive or is it a separate partition? How are you installing it, via desktop upgrade, USB stick or a live CD? If it's being installed by itself, did you reformat first?
