currently using spotify, haven't decided if i like it more than itunes yet

For sound effects and stuff - Windows Media Player
For songs - iTunes

Isn't that the default Ubuntu player?
After 12.04, Rhythmbox is the default in Ubuntu. In previous versions, such as 11.10, it was indeed the default player.
I've grown accustom to it, I guess.

I thought it was the other way around.

Haven't used 12.10 yet; don't intend to. Banshee was default in 11.10, and I'm pretty sure Rhythmbox is still default.

I just remember my dad's 10.04 laptop having Rythmbox and my current 12.10 having Banshee.

I'm using iTunes for the time being, although I really need a better audio player.

I was going to pick winAmp, but it looks incredibly stupid and I'm not paying them so that I can watch videos, that's ridiculous.
iTunes is basically a virus on windows, and windows media player doesn't have iPod music management support,
Spotify isn't available in canada

wtf do I use?

I use winamp, but I don't like it a lot, so I'm not sure why

I'm using Windows Media Player, I've been trying to find a replacement that could auto download podcasts and the such but nothings come close to just being as tidy looking as it.

I used to use Winamp but was annoyed at how slow and bloated feeling it was, so I tried out foobar and immediately switched to it.

It's fast, small and yet so customizable compared to Winamp, and it's got plug-in support so if it's missing something by default there's a chance someone has already made an plug-in.
