Thanks

Also, just as a matter of gloating, I got a weapon off of the 2nd monster I killed: Skull Battlesquisher. It deals 13 damage per hit.
I've been just instakilling everything from that point on.
The penguin UFO was tough to get in range but I killed it pretty quickly anyhow.

Poor Apex and Humans get no love by anyone.

probably because t6 human armor looks ech

Ehh apex aren't that crazy at frontal attacks but they're bananas at guerrilla warfare

I generally play as glitch but right now I'm playing as a human because I changed their sprite into drale :)

Playing as a human in a fantasy game when there are all these other monster races just feels boring, I'm sure other people share that sentiment

Being an ape strikes me as generally unpleasant

Exactly this.

Whoa what the forget I reinstalled and my character is still there

I'm still going to start a new one but still, wow

probably the thing with steam syncing files
Every game I reinstalled when I got Win8 had all the stuff I had before

I wonder how often you'd encounter other people, if at all, by random if you managed to host a server with a couple hundred people on it

I'd like to see them all dig out a planet

i kind of thought that's how i would feel, but playing things that aren't human make the whole game awkward for me.
i can't actually refer to my character, or what i do, or what i have, as myself or it's just kind of wrong

I made a new character and warped down from my ship to find myself standing on a 2-block-wide platform made of snow in the middle of a hostile Glitch complex

Also it seems to be acid-raining on this planet? Has that always been a thing?
