the animals there raped me and upon landing i was attacked by two people i do not know

what equipment tier do you have?
you should try to have around steel before you go to level 2 planets

See, I didn't do that, and had the stock sword still, got in one fight (was actually a boss but I hadn't ever fought a random boss so I hadn't known) somehow won and got a legendary sword that 1 shotted everything I came across for a while.
