I rarely keep more than one crafting station on my ship, I'd rather decorate it and replace the crafting station with one I need from my inventory when I need to.

well i play on hardcore so i like to keep everything on the ship so its easily accessible when i die

All I used was pressurized steel bricks found in those giant Apex research facilities. Also used the pressurized supports, platforms, and beams. The blue-ish looking props are all spawned in. I had to give it a Hylotl feel. Those posters are from USMC prisons, the door is found in a USMC military base.
I don't know if that's what you wanted me to tell you, but that's all I used.

i get stuck traveling forever if i try to go to a magma or volcano planet

Thought they fixed that in the very first update. You could travel to gas giants and just be left flying through space infinitely.
