IMO if there would be an insect race they would need to be more like the zerg than some mantis forest insect or whatever, because there's already the flower guys for forests and I think they want every race to have unique aesthetics.

In all seriousness, I would think either the Mantis head or an arachnid of some sort. A Zerg-like head would be cool, too.
