Am I the only one who HATES to find the Glitch Pyramid/Prisons/Avian Temple and all dungeons after you go to Beta?
All the dungeons have the exactly same loot as on the lower levels and it's always pointless to even go through them. When I find a (what I call) landmark I am mostly looking for a town or at least a pirate ship. The dungeons are dull and boring, with literally no reward except that every kill awards like 60 pixels even on the small threat levels, but that's it. Good equipment? Haha, no. I find better equipment by killing bosses or buying them in the pirate ship.
Also what's the deal with tech. I found my first and only tech in a landmark from the ENDING. Apparently it was supposed to be a challenge but I seen the ending through the ground and I just dug straight through it, but even so I decided to backtrack the platforming only to find out it's an annoying bunch of around 20. And then later on I find a chest on the /surface/ that has the exactly same tech which I "won" from that landmark. Ever then I been looking for a second landmark like that, but haha, nope. Not even one since.
There are parts of this game that are simply annoying, and not because it's beta. Well, the dungeon part might be. But even so, I'd hate seeing some unbreakable walls so I wouldn't like that for the second part either.
And then there are towns. I find it nice how you can only buy from shops when the shopkeeper is there and everyone tries to sell you and when you get close to them they get to their stand. I also love how if you have your weapon out guards act almost trigger-happy around you. What put me off is how there is no rewards for killing anyone and everyone lets you steal from their chests and stuff. I like how closing all doors and killing someone in a home does not trigger any guards. But there was no basis around that and I don't think there will be. I think it would've been nice that citizens would call guards on you if you take something from their chests, and in order to take something from the chests, you would need to make a rumble OR assassinate the citizen that basically owns the chest.
There could be more, but I am kind of pushing it as this is a beta anyway and there's a lot of content here already and more that is working on anyway so I shouldn't complain, but I'd really love to see some small details refurbished and I don't think what I said will be some of them. I would like more reward for anything I'd do. I don't want to go to a planet, walk 20 minutes for "exploration" and the game forcing time-lapse onto me, find a landmark that I find completely useless and just repeat that until I get to something that is actually useful, only to repeat that process again.
Unlike Terraria which puts a lot of basis on mining and underground gameplay, the underground gameplay in here is actually quite poor and it feels like the whole gameplay should take place on the top of the world. I have a platinum pickaxe (that includes the gold pickaxe) and tier two without ever reaching the bottom of the world, and just exploring the top. Ok I don't mind that, but the problem is how the top does not really have that much content to begin with. And I don't mean content as in, lots of mobs or lots of places to explore. That is pretty much the problem. There are lots of places to explore but it takes long to explore those said places and there's nothing to do in most of them if you are looking for one specific thing. I don't want more enemies, I don't want more loot, I want to have a bigger variety of places I can explore without the said places being completely useless as soon as you reach and can survive on a Threat level 11.
