The only thing that's really irritating are those meteors that keep destroying my house and surroundings. I hate having to spend so much time repairing.
The meteors seem to only affect some planets. I have had my base on a planet for quite some time with no meteor showers.
However another planet which I use for mining is constantly bombarded, all the structures there have been demolished almost entirely.
You're best decision would probably be to go find another planet worth building a home on, wait a while, and see if any meteor showers hit it.
On another subject, how do I get the stuff to breathe where there is no air.
You'll need to get a Survival System. Which I believe is constructed out of durasteel (An alloy you can make out of titanium and coal once you are able to go to the Delta sector) and some pixels.
