Author Topic: Captial punishment, good or bad?  (Read 13564 times)

I am against it because innocent people have been, and will continue to be executed.

Less importantly, it also costs more to execute them by lethal injection than to house them for life.

Im pretty sure it would be cheaper just to execute everyone on deaths row. Its keeping the Inmates locked up and paying for all their food and stuff thats making us have to spend all the money.

the real problem is that our prison system is designed to deter criminals instead of rehabilitate them

you can't rehabilitate gang murderers who continue to kill each other in jail, if you'd just inject them a year after conviction it'd be much quicker than spending years trying to "rehabilitate" the jerk

gang murderers aren't all psycho serial killers

they are most likely ignorant people born into poverty who were looking for a way up

or ignorant youth who think killing is cool

They have no reason to live if they keep killing people once they are in jail.

Rehabilitating a murderer isn't worth it. as ignorant as that sounds, Its true. Mostly in the case that they killed multiple times and on different occasions.

it would be hilarious if someone survived the injection

it isn't designed to deter anything because they're like free hotels

The purpose of prisons are to provide disincentives for committing more crimes. That said, modest living conditions and life sentences are relatively silly. You have to remember that these people have had their rights removed via due process and aren't exactly candidates for good living conditions.

this

but anyways I'm siding with capital punishment, because 90% of the time, imo, it's justified.

either way I would rather them starve to death or be injected with lung cancer or some stuff

injected with lung cancer
immune system would recognize the foreign cells and destroy them

Isn't the one who uses the syringe considered a murderer and is then killed using the capital punishment?
