Captial punishment, good or bad?

Personally I'd rather someone go to jail for a really long time than die if they committed a crime. I think capital punishment is kinda useless.

couldnt they just take a few of the cells in your lungs from you, and alter them to forget stuff up, and your immune system wouldn't recognize them as foreign?

almost everyone has had cancer at some point in their lives or multiple times, but in almost every case the immune system recognizes the threat or the cell self-destructs

it's the cases where it doesn't destroy itself and the immune system doesn't recognize it that become problems

The purpose of prisons are to provide disincentives for committing more crimes. That said, modest living conditions and life sentences are relatively silly. You have to remember that these people have had their rights removed via due process and aren't exactly candidates for good living conditions.

these people committed crimes for a reason and it all depends on the intent and mental state of the person.

I honestly think that plea is bullstuff unless theyve had a documented history of being mentally forgeted up or something

Only an infinitesimal amount of cases involve that plea, and often the sentencing is worse than if they weren't a nutter.

probably because jail is designed to deter criminals instead of rehabilitate them

You know jails are ment to hold you for thirty days or until you have a trial. You can be bailed out of jail, but you still have to go to court. If you are convicted you go to prison.

I don't believe in Capital Punishment. Why destroy human life, we should preserve what we have. If someone causes an awful crime of course we want revenge but knowing that he was euthanized or whatever would honestly not make me feel better. Beating the stuff out of him/her might though. It would not change what already has happened and it would just be murder. You may say why preserve "bad" humans such as Adolf Riddler if say he did not commit Self Delete. Well I'm sure there's worse people than Adolf Riddler in our world and they just don't have the power to cause the harm he did.

Also Capital Punishment goes against our human rights. Everyone has the right to live according to the constitution.
